Apple pie

Ingredients

  • 500g No-yeast Puff Pastry
  • 5 Semi-sour Apples
  • 85g Butter
  • 80 g sugar
  • 1 citrinos sultys
  • 500ml Vanilla Ice-creamKlasika

Method

Peel the apples, cut them in to quarters and remove the seeds. Melt the butter in a tin baking tray or a saucepan, add the sugar and heat for a few minutes until it melts then stir. In the same tray, add the pieces of apple so that the rounded side touches the base of the tray. Squeeze the lemon juice onto the apples. Lightly sizzle the apples on a low heat for about 10 minutes, until the sugar caramelises, and the apples get soft then remove from the fire. Cover the apples in a thawed sheet of pastry, fold up its edges inside the baking tray. Bake the pie in an oven preheated to 200°C for 20 minutes. Once the pie is cooked, let it rest for 10 minutes. Place the pie onto the plate so that the pastry is on the bottom and apples – on top. Serve it warm with Klasika ice-cream. Enjoy!
